Jelly Bean Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 Hello and welcome.... Firstly we need the make and model of your computer or make and model of your mainboard...... Firstly download and run: http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html This should give us make and model of your computer and mainboard and what graphics card you are running.... Looking at what processor you have you proberly have a PCI express slot wich should run the above card you listed... However just adding a new card is not always enough, sometimes you have to add a new power supply to.... What wattage is your power supply? Some graphics cards are cheap as they are low budget cards, some cards can be £100 to £200 or more.... Quote Rwy'n ceisio fy ngorau......................
KenB Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 That card needs at least a 400Watt PSU with 28A on the 12v supply. You would need to make sure that the psu that you have complies with this. This may help: http://www.nvidia.com/content/HelpMeChoose/fx2/HelpMeChoose.asp?lang=en-us Also came across this: http://xfxforce.com/en-us/products/graphiccards/9series/9800gt.aspx Quote There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !!
