My PC Won't Start After I Turn It On...

Instead, it gives me this message:

"We apologize for the inconvenience, but Windows did not start successfully.

A recent hardware or software change might have caused this..."

 

Does anyone know what this is and what I can do? My family thinks it's a

virus but I'm not quite sure about that.

Try the following:

 

When you start the computer, press the F8 key. This will bring up a menu and

select the one that says "Last Known Successfull Load.." or something like

that. That should get you back to the desktop hopefully.

Can you start it in Safe Mode?

I would try the F8 thing, but when my PC brings me to that menu, none of the

options work.

I tried everything but what worked for me was F8 start safemode with command

prompt n run a chkdsk /F restart at reboot YES :) might work majority of the

time :)
