Hi, I tried to in stall from the CD the softweaaare for my HP 750 series all

in one printer. Installation went good. I restarted the pc and then plugged

in my printer to the USB port> then connected it to the electricall outlet>

then that beige and green box popped up saying that if I wanted to install

the driver, etc..........It was checked under recommended so it started to

search and was no where to be found: Well it said that it was unable to do

it.I tried exploring the CD and it just doesnt make a difference what I do

it wont work. Isnt it true that after a restart of an installation, set up

continues and you may registrate every thingand use the printer right away?

WHy all this commotion with ME.

BTW, according to the HP instructions, printer is compatible with ME.

what can I do. thanks

Make sure you're set up for USB in Printer Preferences rather than able to

LPT1.

Re: Printer wont install fully on windows ME pc

Marcy, I would suggest that you look here :-

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=buu05051&lc=en&cc=ca&dlc=en&tool=softwareCategory&softwareitem=oj-4013-2&product=57769&os=228&dest_page=softwareCategory

and scroll down to about 2/3 down the page to the section :-

HP PSC 700 series ......... Win98, Me or 2000

It describes the method of installation 'slightly' differently to the way

you explained.

BTW - It might be useful to do a System Restore and roll-back to before you

first tried to install your all-in-one BUT do so AFTER you've uninstalled

the new software and BEFORE you re-install it again. In other words, during

Step 9 at the point where you remove the CD and before re-inserting it

again.

And, I ASS-U-ME that you are using the correct CD (The one designated for

WinMe)

If you still have problems then re-read the whole of the HP article -

there's an awful lot there!
