Guest Meinolf Weber Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Re: Server time question Hello JamesRussel, That's correct behaviour. In a domain all machines need to have the same time, max difference is 5 minutes. Guest Anthony [MVP] Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Re: Server time question It needs the domain time in order to authenticate. If you need to change the time for any reason, you should take it out of the domain, Anthony, http://www.airdesk.co.uk "JamesRussel" <JamesRussel@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:E05C4910-59B7-4A1B-A911-C8FC60CFD85B@microsoft.com... > Hi All, > > i have a windows 2000 SP4 member server that i want to change the > date/time > to any time i want, but after a few seconds it goes back to the the domain > time. any ideas? thanks > -- > JamesRussel > Cebu
