Hello NRinv,

If you are not prompted for it, not. But you can still restart it to see

if it helps.

Re: KB 821730 restart required?

Hi Meinolf

Thanks for the reply.

I should clarify the question, this is a clients server, and I need to know

if it will require a restart to take effect, as if it does I will need to

arrange for the server to go down as they rely on it heavily for their apps.

i do not want to start the installation, and then find out that the ntbackup

will not work untill a restart of the server, which might not be possible to

arrange for a few days.

Thanks

Re: KB 821730 restart required?

Hello NRinv,

If you read the KB article, there is nothing written about a restart or reboot.

So i think it will not need it, but if you will be sure you have to install

it. The reboot can also be done later if needed, only before the next backup

will run.

Best regards
