Guest rhsava Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 SIRS: I AM VERY DISTRESSED ABOUT MICROSOFT AND THEIR SOFTWARE. I BOUGHT MY WIFE AN E-MACHINE WITH WINDOWS XP MEDIA CENTER EDITION INSTALLED. I HAVE TRIED JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING IN FINDING OUT ABOUT HOW TO TROUBLESHOOT, REPAIR, UNINSTALL AND REINSTALL( NO CD CAME WITH THE COMPUTER OBVIOUSLY), SEARCHED THE INTERNET, MICROSOFTS SITE, ETC, ON HOW TO GET HER SOUND RECORDER(VERSION 5.1 TO RECORD AGAIN. IT JUST STOPPED RECORDING LAST WEEK. SOME HELP PLEASE. I HAVE TALKED TO E-MACHINE, BEST BUY, TO NO AVAIL. UNLESS I PAY DEARLY FOR THEIR TIME. SOME HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANK-YOU MR. Try other recording software (much better software is easily available) and see if it works. HTH -pk
