Guest BirdSong Posted August 9, 2008 Posted August 9, 2008 I had my hard drive re-fomatted. Now all my message boxes are too small to show all the contents. These are not internet windows, but information windows like: "Do you want to save the contents of this document before closing?" Placing a mouse pointer on the corner to drag it larger has no effect. Often the last part of the message is hidden with no way to read it.
Guest Rey Santos Posted August 9, 2008 Posted August 9, 2008 RE: message boxes too small Try changing the font size of the Message Box: 1. Right click on the Desktop 2. Choose Properties 3. In the Display Properties click on the appearance tab 4. Click on the Advanced button bellow. 5. In Advanced Appearance box under Item: field click on the drop down arrow and click on Message Box 6. Under Font: Size:, change the font size to a bigger number. The default is 8. The font size on the preview box will change accordingly. 7. Click OK 8. On the display Properties box click Apply. Then wait for change to take effect. Click OK. The Message box gets bigger as the fonts get bigger, If that does not coorrect it, check your DPI setting in Display Properties> Settings > Advanced button >General tab > Under Display, DPI Setting, it should be set to Normal size (96 DPI). -- Rey "BirdSong" wrote: > I had my hard drive re-fomatted.
