This isn't a sound card issue, but this seemed the best forum for my question. I just installed SA 2 on my computer and it works fine, good sound through the stereo. But what I CAN'T find anywhere is how to turn the %$#@ thing OFF and return the sound to my desktop speakers. When I turn SA 2 off I get no sound at all. I don't want all my sound to go through the stereo. If I'm not listening to music I want the desktop speakers to work instead, but none of the instruction manuals seem to address this (I'd think) rather simple question.

You should be able to select the old sound card as default but that does not seem to be your issue. You have not told us how these items are connected. You have speakers, where are they connected and a stereo, how is that connected? There should be no need to "turn off" a sound card in order to select speakers.

Hi and welcome to Extreme Tech Support - Free PC Help.

I can only find this site which is directly for it, is this the software?

http://philips-sound-agent-2.software.informer.com/

However first thing I find is that it is fairly old and Philips stopped doing it in 2004 I believe, plenty of different entries on Google from different help forums, but at a guess it is software that basically takes over your sound system with the intention of improving the quality, but not sure about how.

Information about how it works and what it does seems a little short, so as BeeCeeBee asked, how is it all connected together, and could you describe a little more about both the software and how it is connected to a hi fi, etc.
