USB to Serial-ATA Driver

I have a large (1TB) SATA drive that I've installed in an ICY Dock

external enclosure with a USB connection. The device is recognized

and installed in my XPSP3 system under VMWARE but NOT in my workaday

system. The New Found Harware wizard just grinds away searching for a

driver but to no avail. Since this wasn't a problem under the virtual

system I have no idea how to proceed. Any helpful ideas? Thanks in
