Guest T. Duprex Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 running WindowsXP Pro, SR3 For a reason not obvious to me I have window on a password application (ANY PASSWORD) that now comes up with about 50% transparency. I do not know how or why this came about, unless I pressed some sequence of keys unknowingly. Could you please tell me how to remove this transparency. TIA

You could probably find one if you spent enough time looking for it. I don't know where it is, hence my suggestion of using the fix-all cure of System Restore.
Guest T. Duprex Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 Re: Remove transparency on a window Problem resolved. Did more searching in Google Groups under windowsxp transparency. Found an entry http://www.overclock.net/faqs/98465-how-get-transparent-windows-nvidia.html that dealt with using the transparency feature associated with Nvidia display cards, of which I have. There is an option in Nvidia that allows you set transparency and percentage. I used that scheme to correct the problem.
