trouble viewing files

everytime i try to view a file, a window pops up "windows installer" and says

preparing to install but it does not install. do i have to download something

in order for this program to install properly, if so i need all the help i

can get. thanks

Being that installer is up to date v3.1,go to run,type:msiexec/ unregister

return to run,type:msiexec/ regserver Retry youre installation.

my installer is up to date.but i am still having the same problem with the

window popping up.
