Guest ThomasAJ Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 The full message is "An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk1 during a paging operation." MS HELP says "If these events are logged regularly on a primary system drive, replace the device." This has happened 8 times in 2 weeks. Where do I find out which disk "Harddisk1" is. I only have 1 disk on the server so I guess it is it. Additional info - I think it has started to happen when I started a ASR backup using NTBACKUP to a USB HD. -- Regards Tom

Guest ThomasAJ Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 Re: Event ID 51 - Error on \Device\Harddisk1 Thanks. I read the articles and maybe the error occurs when I add/remove the USB HD - I'll keep an eye out. But I'm still not 100% sure which drive is HardDisk1. -- Regards Tom "Dave Patrick" wrote: > These articles may help. > > http://support.microsoft.com/kb/834910 > http://support.microsoft.com/kb/244780/ > http://support.microsoft.com/kb/159865/ > > > > -- > > Regards, > > Dave Patrick ....Please no email replies - reply in newsgroup. > Microsoft Certified Professional > Microsoft MVP [Windows] > http://www.microsoft.com/protect > > "ThomasAJ" wrote: > > The full message is "An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk1 > > during > > a paging operation." > > > > MS HELP says "If these events are logged regularly on a primary system > > drive, replace the device." > > > > This has happened 8 times in 2 weeks. > > Where do I find out which disk "Harddisk1" is.
