Memory upgrade - 5GB not showing even with /PAE

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

I've upgraded my server, win2003 SP2, with 5GB of ram, and i've edited the

boot.ini file and added the /PAE option.

Then i've rebooted but even with the /PAE option the server is only showing

4GB, i'm sure that it has 5GB.

Anyone knows if i have to do anything else?

Thanks

Hello Pipas,

If you have Standard edition it can only support 4GB.

Best regards
