Configure RDP to a specific network adapter?

I am using RDP on my XP machine and I need to be able to configure RDP to use

a specific network adapter (my PC has two). Is this possible?

As per my colleague,

 

"You cannot configure RDP to use a specific network adapter, on a client

machine".

Not the answer I wanted, but alas it was expected.

 

Surely this is a design defect?
