Guest JF Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 Hello, I have a 2003 server R2 SP2. The server service without warning stopped and would not start again. When I tried to restart the Server service I would get a warning that one of the dependent services has been marked for deletion. Another admin in my team went into the registry and removed msicsci as a dependent service for the server service. What is:msicsci? And will removing the msicsci from the dependent list for server service be a long term fix? Thanks

Typically, one might add that dependency so that fileshares don't disappear on reboot.
