Guest Michael Triber Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 In IE7, select Tools, Internet Options. The Security level for this zone defaults to High and the slide bar is inactive no matter what I try. Is there a place to change this for the remote connection so the slide bar is active or change it to medium?
Guest Vera Noest [MVP] Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 Re: ie zone settings terminal services greyed out A greyed out setting in the GUI usually means that this is configured in a Group Policy. Run gpresult to see which GPOs are affecting your Terminal Server. _________________________________________________________ Vera Noest MCSE, CCEA, Microsoft MVP - Terminal Server TS troubleshooting: http://ts.veranoest.net *----------- Please reply in newsgroup -------------* =?Utf-8?B?TWljaGFlbCBUcmliZXI=?= <MichaelTriber@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote on 11 aug 2008: > In IE7, select Tools, Internet Options. Guest Vera Noest [MVP] Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 Re: ie zone settings terminal services greyed out Group Policies are by definition a domain thing. On a standalone server, you have your local policy. That's why I usually recommend gpresult, Jeff, works in all conditions :-) _________________________________________________________ Vera Noest MCSE, CCEA, Microsoft MVP - Terminal Server TS troubleshooting: http://ts.veranoest.net ___ please respond in newsgroup, NOT by private email ___ =?Utf-8?B?TWljaGFlbCBUcmliZXI=?= <MichaelTriber@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote on 11 aug 2008 in microsoft.public.windows.terminal_services: > I installed the Group policy console and it askes me about being > on a domain.
