WSUS setup errors

I am trying to install WSUS 3.0 onto a new DC. I am getting errors when it

trys to set the internal database during the setup.

 

I have searched the log and the following error is in there:

 

Using instance name: MICROSOFT##SSEE

Failed to find installation media path due to datastore exception

in FindSetupFolder()

MSI (s) (54!DC) [12:43:55:487]: Note: 1: 2203 2:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\Setup\SqlRun.msi 3: -2147287038

 

 

Loaded DLL:

C:\DOCUME~1\ADMINI~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\xmlrw.dll

Version:

2.0.3609.0

 

 

Error Code: 1603

MSI (s) (54!DC) [12:43:59:190]: Product: Windows Internal Database -- Error

29528. The setup has encountered an unexpected error while Setting Internal

Properties. The error is: -2147217405

 

I have checked the temp location for this file, but it is not in there.

Latest version is with SP1:

Also for WSUS better post to:

microsoft.public.windows.server.update_services
