http://www.insideoe.com/tips/ and

http://www.insideoe.com/files/maintain.htm are a couple of great places to

find the solution to issues with OE. I'm not saying that you will find the

answer to your issue, but, there is access to folks that may. If Mike is

perplexed, that's not good! Hopefully, you can find the answer

soon.....best wishes.

Re: Mike, Joan, Web and SS...

S'cuse buttinski Mike, - just wonder if Jeanette actually did the reset you

(very) briefly mentioned in your first post. (Unless I've missed something

<g>)

Apologies in advance if you've already tried this Jeanette. If so please

ignore, otherwise :-

In Outlook Express, highlight the winme.general newsgroup (not the thread)

right-click and select Properties, then the Local tab and choose the Reset

option. (which will clear ALL contents of the winme.general newsgroup).

Click to another group and then return to the winme.general group.

Hopefully your missing post will have now returned.

I have never figured out why someone would spend two day for making some

There's only one problem, HL, those Claussen Dills have all kinds of

chemicals mixed in with them for good taste and preservation, including

yellow color, which is quite detrimental for your body. You just may need

'sterilization', if you eat enough of them (like fifteen jars full) <bg>.

Re: Mike, Joan, Web and SS...

You must be thinking about a different pickle, H. The Claussen's only have

a little sodium benzoate as a flavor preservative and no yellow coloring

(the cucumbers are naturally green!). I guess you could call salt and

vinegar chemicals, but, for the most part, these are like homemade. You

should try them, they are Kosher!

Heirloom, old and rarely eat them anyway

You would have to try these to understand, hunny bunny!! They are the

absolute BEST pickles in North America, lol. And I detest dill pickles,

btw. Grandmaw's recipe has to be 100 years old and my strait-laced

Pennsylvania Deutsch ancestor was using "turmeric"??? Hmm.

You can't buy anything that tastes like these, which is why I spend 2

days making them. But total time is probably more like 6 hours. Never

timed it, but damn near lost a thumb slicing up the cucumbers.....those

*mandolins* are razor sharp!!

Lost half of a thumb nail though.....good thing I didn't cut the claws!!

Kissies.....PL.

I tried Mrs Creutzfeldt-Jakob's Dill Pickles from the Nanomart and didn't

like them. What I want are ones that taste like what you get in Subway and

Burger King.

Re: Mike, Joan, Web and SS...

hi mister buttinski,,,,

thank you for joining......

keep your fingers crossed for me, because i have done exactly what you said a few seconds ago,,

including even shutting down o/e.

all posts (to me) now look like they have not been read by me at all,,, and heres something else

too,, i can even see some other posters who obviously chimed in,, and some in early stages of

thread too.... (tearing hair out, can you hear the screeeeeeeaaams!!!)

anyway.. i am now posting this as a reply to your post,, and am hoping like charly that when i

return in a little while, that i can see my reply,,

hey,, i will also post a post called J's test,, a brand new one, because that is where it all

started.... the fact that i cant see any of my posts, whether new or replying.

finally, thank you to all,, this is all getting a bit weird,,, you'd think that all that

wiring inside the box, and all the little chips and their friends, would be aware of the problem and

working overtime to fix it... sigh.

That you did.....but I believe it was in reference to me sterilizing

Ron, lol. I was amazed at how easily the blade went thru my nail tho.

I have very hard, strong nails and thanks to you know who for that. It

totally grossed Ron out, lol.

Tell Joanie the fun is wondering who will find the thumb......rather

like a coin in a birthday cake (ugh, grossed myself out!!).....grin.

Laffs? Do they still have a team in Torunna? I mean besides that kids'

team Don Cherry owns. I still play Pogo occasionally, mostly into poker

these days though. My wife spends literally hours playing Pogo though on

her new Vista machine.

I still drop by the ME group from time to time to see how the old gang is

doing. I'm sorry to say I don't miss Windows ME at all but am also not sold

on Vista (on my laptop). I think XP Pro is the best thing since sliced

bread (on this desktop) and will probably cry when MS discontinues service

for it.

Re: Mike, Joan, Web and SS...

Omigod!! I never watch hockey, especially the Leafs......and I DETEST

Don Cherry and his dumb dog!!

That said, I still play Pogo on my old XP machine, but not really into

poker. I do OK now that I have learned the basics, but I would rather

do word games or such. I keep swearing I will not renew it, but still

do. OH.....for those that play the freebie one, there is a free Club 2

weeks till the 25th I believe. My daughter joins in then. She

obviously hasn't played for a few days cuz I hacked her account and

changed her Mini......bwa ha ha. I will hear about it, no doubt.

Cheers from Torronna.....Heather

Re: Mike, Joan, Web and SS...

Listening to 'Kayleigh' (as one does when the shuffle dictates) reminds me

for years I thought Marillion were Canadian. I think I must have confused

Fish with James Doohan. Or maybe Alannah Myles. Damn good song that was -

shame it was about Elvis Parsley (apparently).

Hi Heather! Perhaps I should change my name to 'Shane' by deed poll, eh? I

mean why fight it! ;)

"Elvis Parsley Sage Rosemary and Thyme" - The Farkel Twins (Simon and Gar).
