This program has a feature in the Tools section called Flash Killer which can be used to disable Flash content. If it's not that program, check for any settings options in the security programs that are installed on your computer. Good luck Nepatsfan

If you haven't done it before, I would not start now. Create a file in Notepad called "disableflash.reg" with the 4 lines of text shown between the lines below. -------------------------------------------- REGEDIT4 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\ActiveX Compatibility\{D27CDB6E-AE6D-11CF-96B8-444553540000}] "Compatibility Flags"=dword:00000400 -------------------------------------------- Create a file in Notepad called "enableflash.reg" with the 3 lines of text shown between the lines below. -------------------------------------------- REGEDIT4 [-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\ActiveX Compatibility\{D27CDB6E-AE6D-11CF-96B8-444553540000}] -------------------------------------------- You can make shortcuts to these files and then copy those into IE's Favorites menu, or Links toolbar. Now you've got an in-browser way to turn Flash on and off. Anyway, I think this will work but maybe an MVP has a better way. Did you try to go to the flash website and reinstall flash?

Does that look like what you ticked before?
Guest karen Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Re: flash content webpages Did have spyware blaster but it has been uninstalled but the problem still persists. Have downloaded flash player and it is enabled but the sites will still not load. Any more ideas? Have tried the other suggestions also to no avail!! -- Karen "Nepatsfan" wrote: > "karen" <karen@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > news:821A3FB6-9847-4C40-95DB-01F26D3517D1@microsoft.com... > >I was having problems with ads popping up eventually found a virus and > > cleared it but now unable to load pages with flash. > > I know I unticked a box which mentioned flash ad web pages but I now do not > > know where to look to recheck it. > > > > Hope you can help > > thanks > > -- > > Karen > > > Did you install a program called SpywareBlaster? Guest Nepatsfan Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Re: flash content webpages Did you restart your computer after applying the .REG files that Stephen Harris provided? Post back if you had a problem applying or creating the registry files. The next thing I would try is to reinstall SpywareBlaster and look in the Tools section and see whether you enabled Flash Killer. Another option would be to go to the following web site and download the registry fix from line 363, left hand column, Enable Flash in IE. Guest Nepatsfan Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 Re: flash content webpages Did you restart your computer after you unchecked Flash Killer in SpywareBlaster? If you're still having problems with Flash you might want to post a question to the Internet Explorer newsgroup. Discussions in Internet Explorer General http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx?dg=microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general You could also check with Adobe and see if there's a forum for Flash Player.
