Guest Korea92 Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Hey all, i recently bought world of warcraft, so i thought i needed to install it on my computer, so when i put it into my computer, it didnt appear, so i went to my computer to open it. when i did it said E:\ is not a valid Win32 application. i recently cleaned my registiry and defragged my drive. i restored my old registry, but the same error message pops up. Any suggestions? my disc reader thing is.. Compact disc, digital audio. my systen is a windows XP.
Guest Adam Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 RE: ARG!! what is this? Sounds like a corrupt file or incompatible hardware :S First before panicking try it in another computer and then post back the results. This will help narrow down if it is the disk or your computer setup. Hope this helps. Sometimes something internal breaks and the laser stops moving and all it will read is the TOC on the disk. Try the disk in another machine and if it works get a DVD drive. They are pretty cheap now-a-days.
Guest Mick Murphy Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 RE: ARG!! what is this? Sometimes you also have to get a laser cleaner for the CD player. Dirt gets in there. -- Mick Murphy - Qld - Australia "Korea92" wrote: > ah, thanks for the reply > i dont have a 2nd computer at the moment, i tried multiple differnt CD's and > they dont seem to work.
