Guest LuDean Marvin Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 When I run msconfig, all I get is an hourglass cursor for 5 or 6 seconds, then nothing. In Task manager, msconfig is listed as a running process, though using no cpu cycles. Does anyone have an idea how I can get it running properly?

Once it's crashed like that, you need to terminate the process in Task Manager or Process Explorer. Alternately, a reboot will release it. If it doesn't work then, clear out the temp files and have a look for malware. HTH -pk
