Guest KenP Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 I installed Windows Server Backup and have the following situation: When I run anything but scheduled backup, I am provided a window showing local devices to back up the files to. When I select Scheduled Backup and select the files to be backed up, I get an error msg stating there is no local drive to back the files up to instead of the Local Drive option screen. I've tried it several times and can't seem to figure out what is going wrong. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. KenP

Guest KenP Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 Re: Windows Server 2008 Backup When I run the local backup or specific backup option, the local drives window appears with all the available drives present. For instance, the C, D, E drives and the removable media I'm actually using for the backup. The removable media is an Iomega REV drive. The local and specific backup works just fine and gives me the local and removable devices as backup options. The message I get when I run the scheduled backup and have selected the files to back up is that there are no local drives to back up the files to. Guest KenP Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 Re: Windows Server 2008 Backup When I complete Step 5, I get the msg "No disks are available for use as backup destination". When I run the regular backup option I get the screen mentioned in Step 6. Guest Craig Blanzy Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 Re: Windows Server 2008 Backup I have this exact same issue trying to backup to a removable hard drive. It backs up perfectly when doing a manual backup but I can't schedule a backup because of the No Disks are Available error at step 5.
