Kirky Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Hi new to this so go gentle with me. Just bought a new samsung laptop and it has gone through it's set up etc now it wants some human interaction. The OmniPass aspect of the system wants me, in case I forget my password, to set up three questions/answers, having put the answers in it has come up witrh ab Error Message saying 'Please enter only English characters and numbers', which is what I have done. Has anybody had a problem with this and how did you overcome the problem. Thanks Kirky Quote
KenB Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Hi and welcome to ExTS I am not familiar with this software. I assume it is the fingerprint recognition that some laptops have ? The error message you are getting could be due to using any symbols ) / - @ # etc Is this the case - or are you using only letters and numbers ? I assume that you can boot up and use the rest of the PCs functions? Quote There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !! Plastic Nev Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Quite often in passwords and associated other things, there should be no punctuation of any sort, no comma's no full stops even. If you have used any punctuation or as Ken mentions other characters, that will be why it has come up with that error message. Nev. Quote Need help with your computer problems?
