Usually under C:\Documents and Settings one would see something like

All Users

Default User

LocalService

NetworkService

Username

Username stands for the name of the profile which is

usually Bob, or Mary etc. Are you saying that the

username is = "Home Computer" ?

Usually there is the name used for a login as the profile name.

IOW, "Home Computer" is an odd name for a user; there is a

Desktop for every user or profile who logs onto that computer.

C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Desktop

C:\Documents and Settings\Genius\Desktop

The Desktop is not directly under the name of the computer

(but the user) which is more likely to be named Home^Computer.

So are you sure you are looking for the Desktop in the right place?
