QuickTime 7.4.5 Apple Update

Recommended Posts

I have installed QuickTime 7.4.5 on Terminal Server 2003. Ran it in install

mode, chose not to auto update. However, as tested by a user, when they went

to Apple.com they were presented with the decision to update. I'm looking for

a way to avoid a user being able to select "update". Any advice is

appreciated.

Thank you.

Is it a popup? Maybe popup blocker would stop it. My guess though is

blocking access to the quicktime sites may be a good way to start. it's not

autoupdate though if it only happens when they hit the website. you may

also want to check out the apple forums on this as they would probably be a

better resource than here as it's not really a TS problem.

Thank you. I haven't looked at Apple forums.
