2nd DC - No Admin Rights

Windows Server 2003 Standard R2 -

On a 2nd DC, I'm unable to load software when I'm signed on as network

administrator. The error message indicates that there are insufficient

rights to perform the install. AD replicates normally and I'm able to access

all network shared folders.

Event log errors?

Group policy settings that might prevent this (rsop.msc)?

Exact error message?

Same account (domain admin) can install software on your first DC?

No event log errors.

Not running Group Policy on the DC's

Exact error message: "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or

file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item."

Yes - Same domain admin account can install software on the 1st DC.

Event log errors?

Does this happen with *any* software?

Hello Jet,

Will you install the software locally or from a network share? If from a

share add the server to the trusted sites in IE.

Best regards
