Guest 920jeff Posted August 15, 2008 Posted August 15, 2008 I'm still having problems with this computer. It is running Windows XP Home Edition. Originally, I got an error message saying, "NTLDR: > Fatal error 256 reading boot.ini. I put the Windows XP CD in the CD-ROM drive, and booted it from that. Then I did a repair installation that I thought would fix the problem, leaving all the data and apps intact. After finishing this repair install, the computer still won't boot. There is not error message this time; it just cycles the boot sequence over and over without loading windows. Any suggestions on what the next step might be? Thanks for the previous responses from last week and for any new help Jeff
