In the "Windows firewall" settings, the General tab, I have the

firewall turned Off.

In the security center, however, windows firewall is always On.

How do I really turn windows firewall off?

Is a third-party firewall installed (e.g., Norton; McAfee; ZA; Comodo)?

You must be using Norton, Mcafee or Trend Micro Internet security suite.

They have their own inbuilt Firewall.

Check in your Security Center>Firewall ON Setting to see which Firewall is

in use.

Turning off.

Turning off.

Hello,

It might be possible that there is some another firewall on, for example

which comes with antivirus etc.. If you want to turn off the windows firewall

then its a good choice that you turn off the ICS/ICF service.

Why did you change the subject line? Makes it tricky to follow.

That was it. Nvidia does an excellent (?) job of hiding its own

firewall from the user.
