Moving Mouse over icons in Taskbar/Notification Bar

When I move my mouse pointer over the icons in the Taskbar/Notification Bar,

I have previously been able to see the status and/or names of these icons.

Now when I move the mouse pointer over them, nothing shows at all. Has a

setting changed?

Try the opposite of this tip, which is for those who don't want

balloon tips.

Control Panel-Folder Options-View

Uncheck "Show pop-up description for folder and desktop items".
