Guest Bill Lathan Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 I have a machine running XP home that has stopped showing the icons on the desktop. If I look in Windows Explorer, the programs/shortcuts I want are all under Desktop, and, if I try to copy a file from there to the desktop screen, I'm told it can't do it because the source and destination are the same. Show Display doesn't affect this problem at all. Thanks in advance, Bill

Guest Kelly Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 Re: Missing Icons on Desktop Hi Bill, Without knowing more....right click the Desktop/Properties/Show icons on desktop. If this is not the case, run the undo on line 27: http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm -- All the Best, Kelly (MS-MVP/DTS&XP) Taskbar Repair Tool Plus! http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/taskbarplus!.htm SupportSpace http://www.supportspace.com/pages?aiu=kellyskorner "Bill Lathan" <ak5k@arrl.net> wrote in message news:KQMpk.34709$co7.32182@nlpi066.nbdc.sbc.com... >I have a machine running XP home that has stopped showing the icons on the >desktop.
