Guest WinXP-pro Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 Once upon a time my desktop icons had no color background for names so the text appeared to be floating on the wallpaper, rather than on a solid color (Appearance/advanced/icon - both item and font color were grayed out) I only want a color back for selected items. Is there a reg key that will reset it? Thanks
Guest Rey Santos Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 RE: Desktop theme - icon back color settings Try these: 1. Control Panel > System > Advanced tab > Performance Settings button. On the Visual Effects tab... Check "Use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop" 2.
