Hi and welcome to Extreme Tech Support - Free PC Help.

It may be of help for us to know how you installed Windows 7.

Was it the Microsoft upgrade or direct from a Windows 7 Disk?

Hi APC and Plastic Nev.

If the disk is a full retail version of Windows 7 then it would be more then one disk and it would be on DVD not CD. What does it say on the disks?

If this is a full retail version of Windows 7 and you just recently installed it then you may want to consider starting over by following the multi-page tutorial here. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/help/upgrading-from-windows-vista-to-windows-7

If I'm not mistaken Microsoft calls it a custom installation for some reason. It seems to me a clean install would be a better term.

See Upgrading from Windows Vista to Windows 7 (custom installation).

Anyway I thought the links might be of assistance.
