HTTP 401.1 Message on My XP Machine

When I try to access any local internet site on my machine, I'm prompted with

a login box. However, I don't know what login it's looking for. It shouldn't

ask for one, anyway, and I need to know why I'm being prompted. Beyond that,

I've tried logging in as myself (member of administrators group) but that

doesn't work either.

 

I'm getting the following message:

HTTP 401.1 - Unauthorized: Logon Failed

Internet Information Services

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This due to the trust not established on the IIS for the local/basic Account

on the machine to establish trust with Domain name, also you need to tune up

the Audit policy on your machine to allow Local account to get permissions to

access the Domain name.

Please read the following Info carefully and make sure it apply to your

issue and it doesn't have security issues on your Domain name hosted on your

local machine from intruders outside.
