Guest prberg2 Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 RE: ramdrive I was also interested in setting up a ramdrive. Not to increase the performance but to allow the hard drive to spin down and save power. I have a laptop with XP and want to just run one small application. Is there a way in Windows to create a ram drive, put that app on the ram drive and keep windows from accessing the hard drive so it can spin down? I see so many other ramdrive applications but it makes me nervous to install software from someone I don't know. If Microsoft had a solution that would be better. thank so much! -Peter
