Apparently, I have a nonexistant "ghost" program taknig up half of my hard

disk. The Add or Remove Programs task cannot find or uninstall it. What can

Can you explain what exactly makes you believe in the existence

of this "non-existant" ghost program?

When I open the Add or Remove Program screen it shows the program in question

(Embark Technologies Six Sigma Calculator for Palm OS) with 17.5 GB. When I

try to remove it I get the message "The specified uninstall script does not

exist." And while this prograsm is still available on the Internet, Embark

Technologies does not have a web site, so I can't contact them directly.

Download JDiskReport from

http://www.jgoodies.com/freeware/jdiskreport/index.html

Run it and find out what's taking up space on your hard disk. Once you

know the identity of the culprit, you can find out how to delete it.

You're probably dealing with a residue of an application that

has long since ceased to exist on your hard disk. Use "My

Computer" to examine all folder names in "C:\" and in

"C:\Program Files". Does on of them relate to this application?
