When I open a folder the the far left hand folders column no longer opens

automatically. I have to click the folders icon on the task bar. How do I set

it to default with the folders column upon openning?

Hi JJ,

You can create a shortcut on your Desktop with the Target:

%windir%\explorer.exe /e

That will open Explorer with the folder pane.

For more options, read this:

See in Folders Options, Types, Folders, if you can select the default

action explorer instead of open.

215. Restore Set Folder Default to Open & Use Same Window - Explore
