Bonour and merci Jean-francois - bit is there a way to get it to open at

desktop or at my computer or at c drive but not expanded. Basically, I want

it to open showin the folders on the left but n ot expanded

Start>Run>Explorer.exe /e,

Try :

Explorer.exe /e,C:\
