tal132 Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Hi, just bought a CD external drive, i put a cd inside and it worked and was successfully installed but now when i put a cd in it works for a few seconds and then stops working. i cheked the device status and it said everything was fine... help?? KenB Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 If you are getting the same result from 2 different machines then the problem lies with the device itself. It sounds like a power issue. Does it use the USB port for power or does it have a separate mains adapter? Either way - I think a call to the retailer is in order as it must still be under guarantee.
