KenB Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Hi and welcome to ExTS I have split your post from the others and given you your own thread. It will be less confusing this way :) Your motherboard is a MicroATX form factor. Basically - this is a smaller than standard board. Board specs are here: http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/motherboards/desktop-motherboards/desktop-board-dh55tc.html What is confusing me is that normally a low profile Video Card needs to be fitted. ( Smaller than normal ) Your GT 240 appears to be a standard card. The GTX 460 certainly is. Please confirm: 1 The link I gave above is actually your motherboard. 2. That the GT240 is a standard card and there is plenty of room for it. Quote There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !! KenB Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Yes - I have had a look at the specs for this card. It is a PCIe 2.0 which is the same motherboard slot that the new card would need. In addition: You will need a minimum of 450Watts Power Supply Unit. The GTX 460 is a dual slot card. In other words - it is wide. You must be sure there is space on the motherboard for it. It needs 2 x 6 pin PCI power connectors from the PSU. You will need DirectX 11 on your system.
