Hi everyone any help i can get with this would be a great help.

When i type in the password to enter windows its saying its incorrect but my daughter who's netbook it is is insisting she did not change it.

I have had a look round the net on my laptop and all i can seem to find is windows password recovery but her netbook does not have a disk drive and to use the flash drive option it's wanting a fee.

Does anyone know of any other way round this? also her admin account is the only account on the screen the guest is not on.

Thankyou

Hello and Welcome....

I am afraid we cannot help you with this, although you maybe the genuine owner or your daughter we have no way of proving this.....

It is against forum rules to help with password recovery, however we will help you with any other issues that do not break forum rules...

To add to Jelly Beans post, I am sorry but must point you to the rules here=

Pay particular attention to rule 5.

We can only suggest that your daughter opens the machine, or that there is some spelling incorrect. Have you also taken into consideration, that your daughter may not want you gaining access to her machine any way?

Hi Nev, i did think she might not want me to know the password but she is now wanting to use it so i dont think she is hiding it from me.

She is only ten years old so maybe i should have thought better of buying her this at such a young age.

Oh dear, I had no idea she was that young, however, it can only be down to you and her to sort out the password she originally put in, it can only be either the wrong word, or spelling incorrect, maybe the first time it was put in it may have been miss spelled then. Best of luck Andrea.

Have to say that this amazes me.

You gave a 10 year old full Admin rights on a system without making sure that you also had an account?

Why give a 10 year old Admin status on a system?

Sorry if this offends you.... but that is totally irresponsible.

No wonder the hackers of today are having a field day with infecting systems.

I had the same problem with a friend's daughter.

The password she thought it was had been misspelled.

It took all afternoon - but eventually she managed to type it correctly.

The passwords are case sensitive. Make sure that CAPS LOCK is off as Randy has already suggested.

Another common error when typing passwords is to hold the SHIFT key down too long and you get:

PAssword instead of Password ( 2 capitals instead of just one )

There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !!
