Guest Michael A. Loginov Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 Re: Windows Media Player Anyway, just search for Cowon JetAudio, downlopad it, install and enjoy. It's easy to use and free. --Ivan-- wrote: > Hi > > I downloaded the latest media Player 11 from microsoft.. but i cant get it > to work it says not a genuine copy for some reason is there a way i can go > back to the previous version of media player... i can only click on validate > or cancel and thats all that happens > > thanks for any help

Does System Restore repairs license? Don't think so... Bill in Co. wrote: > PA Bear [MS MVP] wrote: >> Too late now! > > I'm not so sure. Guest Bill in Co. Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 Re: Windows Media Player First, I was assuming that before this you had at least some version of Windows Media Player on your computer that actually worked. (I think that's a reasonable assumption) And if that's the case, and that would be acceptable, then read on. System Restore can restore much of your system back to the prior point. It is NOT only useful for system crashes. So, what do you have to lose by trying? If it doesn't work, you can always undo it. (Or, for even more insurance, just create a new restore point before trying to roll back). Michael A. Loginov wrote: > System Restore should help in case of system crashes. Guest Mick Murphy Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 RE: Windows Media Player A System Restore WILL take it back to the way it was before you attempted to download MP11 I'd say that it is your operating system that is illegal. You have to validate XP before gettting WMP11 -- Mick Murphy - Qld - Australia "--Ivan--" wrote: > Hi > > I downloaded the latest media Player 11 from microsoft.. but i cant get it > to work it says not a genuine copy for some reason is there a way i can go > back to the previous version of media player... i can only click on validate > or cancel and thats all that happens > > thanks for any help
