RandyL Posted December 23, 2007 Posted December 23, 2007 Hi matty; In SIW look in Hardware>Devices>Display adapters. It also appears you have other problems listed in Device Manager. Try re-installing your drivers from Device Manager. Something may have gone wrong on your previously installed game re-install. You might also want to try a restore before this installation. By the way are you actually experiencing any problems? What is the game? Is this a dual boot system. I've seen your post on the UBUNTU forums. More information on your system would be helpful. It seems you may have more then one issue here. RandyL Quote We are all members helping other members. Please return here where you may be able to help someone else. mattyg101 Posted December 24, 2007 Author Posted December 24, 2007 i went onto the SIW programme and couldnt find 'display adapters'. so i went into the html report and searched for it, and copied the section it was in. Here is the results: "Display Adapter Intel® 82915G/GV/910GL Express Chipset Family Video Processor Intel® 82915G/GV/910GL Express Chipset Video memory size 128 MBytes Adapter DAC Type Internal BIOS String Hardware Version 0.0 BIOS Date 10/18/20 Display Drivers igxprd32.dll Driver Version 6.14.10.4764 Driver Date 2007-01-13 10:33:18 Inf File Name oem10.inf Inf Section i915G0" i have successfully reinstalled certain programmes that have the yellow excliamation mark next to them in device manager, hooray. and may i ask what you mean by a restore, i never did re- install for the game as i fully rebooted the computer and wiped all of the files off. (sorry about the lack of information but im only 16, im learning steadily. lol) the problems i am experiencing are just the game not playing as it notifies me, more like annoys me, about not having the required specification, telling me about not having a video card, which i know i have as ive played numerous games on my pc that have all worked. and also when the computer is turned on and i m desktop loads up, the installation for my printer come up, i try to install it b the wizard that notifies me but it says it was unsuccessfull. that is all of the problems that i am aware of currently. also i dont know what a dual boot system is. and thankyou for your help and assistance at this point, i am very grateful. Merry Christmas Mattyg Quote
