Guest Meinolf Weber Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 Re: enabling quota Hello Pure, If you post the way how you configure the quota it is easier to follow you. Normally you can set quotas on harddisk's. There is no need for a domain. Please describe more in detail what you have done. Guest Dusko Savatovic Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 Re: enabling quota Yes, it works regardless of domain or workgroup. One reason it doesn't work is if users are members of local administrators group. By default, quotas do not apply to local admins. Guest Pure Heart Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 Re: enabling quota hi meinolf the answer of dusko was helpful the user i tried to track there quota are locals of local administrator group, so they should be member of what ? i mean can they be members of local group but not the administrator group ? what i did was simple i right clicked on drive d: showed properties and configured quota with space limit and warning limit then loged with different local users who are part of local admin group and saved files bigger than the warning limit no warning message was displayed :) -- Ammar S.
