Since re-installing Vista my Browser has an annoying habit or several times a day.. playing an audio announcement in a Male US accent about "in order to delecte your cace ... dletet your cookies"

This may not be a Vista issue .. . it could well be IE (as IE 9 installed as part of rebuild) or even Google Toolbar ....

One post suggested turning off Google Tool bar Notifier ... done that - no change

Many Internet Explorer (IE) users have experienced problems recently as a result of updates that Microsoft made to IE. Some people have been able to resolve their problems by taking the following steps:

1. In IE, press the Alt key to display the main menu bar.

2. Click “Tools and choose Compatibility View Settings.”

3. Remove
from the big text box

4. Remove the check marks from the 3 check-boxes under the text box.

5. Restart IE.
