Guest whcampbell2 Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 When I open My Computer or Windows Explorer, my CDR drive D: is not shown. It shows up in device manager as enabled and operating correctly. If a disk is put in, the drive will spin up and read, but no info is displayed. If a disk such as windows setup is inserted in the drive and the computer is restarted, it will boot the system from the cdr and it properly shows up on the display. How do I get windows to recognize the drive. I have downloaded a new driver from microsoft and installed it with no difference. the drive works properly in another computer. The drive also shows up in the BIOS. -- wcampbell2
