I am writing to warn you about Avast. It is not very good. See: http://www.anti-malware-test.com/?q=taxonomy/term/16 DO NOT do anything private on your machine that you would not want the world to look at. No social security numbers, no bank numbers, no passwords to anything you care about, etc.. You will be infected in short order. -T

See: > I'v been using Avast for several years now. it's excelent, imo, it's also advisable to have one maybe even two Antispyware/Malware programs also, and a good firewall. for me - this is : Avast Sygate Firewall Ashampoo Antispayware2 Spyware Search and Destroy. I'll snapshot screenshots of my avast if you like and email to you in a day or two.

I was interested in the options presented at the time of installation. AFAIK there is no facility for returning to these after installation.
