Guest Oona Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 Hello people Have Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Pro laptop with built in touchpad. Unfortunately the mouse jumps around while I'm in the middle of typing. It has done this ever since it was new. It isn't always because I touch it. Advanced text services are off already. The mouse driver doesn't allow sensitivity to be adjusted, or even tap clicks to be disabled (no, it really doesn't). Have tried installing different mouse driver from manufacturers website, also doing updates from microsoft update. To my knowledge I haven't damaged the touchpad. Suggestions??
Guest Bob I Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 Re: Laptop touchpad jumping mouse If placing a piece of cardboard over the touchpad cures it, then touching is the issue. If not, then i would suspect defective hardware, and ask for the unit to be replaced. Oona wrote: > Hello people > > Have Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Pro laptop with built in touchpad.
