Guest JohnR Posted August 24, 2008 Posted August 24, 2008 Hi, I have a Dell PowerEdge 2950 with six 450GB SAS discs forming a RAID 10 array of 1.2 TB. I'm running Windows Server 2003 R2 with SP1. I need some software that will create an image of the system on an external disc that I can later use for complete system recovery. I've found Acronis True Image Echo Server for Windows. It's ~$600 and seems like it might do what I need. I'm not very price sensitive, but if I can get something that will do basically the same thing for less, I'd like to consider it. Do you know of any other software I should consider? What if I added the need to make incremental backups to this requirement? Would that push me to a different piece of software that can do both image backups and incremental backups? Thanks for your help! John

Altiris Recovery Solution is also good and is standard on many PC's. There's a version for servers. Both will do a full image plus incremental backups.
