Guest Paul Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 Hi folks, this error is starting to appear in event viewer (XP SP3) Sometimes this error appears, and the entry for the firewire appears (Its a PCI FW card) says its fine in device manager, but the icon for it doesnt appear in network connections. But at the mo, its a code 10 in device manager, and obviously there's no icon in network connections. Does it sound like the card is faulty, or should I try extracting the ohci1394 file, from the XP CD again, and replace it? Thanx Event Type: Error Event Source: Service Control Manager Event Category: None Event ID: 7026 Date: 8/25/2008 Time: 9:38:42 PM User: N/A Computer: SPEEDY Description: The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load: ohci1394 For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
