Users cannot change the desktop back grounds and I can someopne tell where

the settings are.

Hi John,

 

Most of the time this is disabled because of performance reasons.

 

Probably this is set by group policies.

I belive it is but i check what I belive was most of the policies and the

were set so they could be modified.

Ask yourself this, do you really, REALLY want users adding their own

backgrounds? from a perforamnce stance, do you really want a high res

bitmap of some persons kids degrading performance?

Then you need to enable Active Desktop, then give the users through GPO the

ability. At least that's what I remembe for having to enable it. Good luck

because you're manager is going to be complaining when his/her performance

hits the floor.
